With more than 20 years’ experience navigating Scotland’s engineering and regulatory landscape, I’ve designed, led, and coordinated complex infrastructure projects from concept through handover.
My work as civil engineer spans early‑stage and detailed design, cost optimisation, regulatory compliance, planning support, sustainability, and high‑quality SuDS design, with a focus on practical, cost‑effective solutions that keep projects on track.
Passionate about sustainability and ensuring early stages are done well, I've founded MinARva to direct that experience where it has the greatest impact: helping teams shape stronger projects from the very beginning through clear insight, practical guidance, and a commitment to design that serves the client’s needs.

MinARva Consulting exists because early-stage uncertainty costs clients time, money and confidence, and it doesn’t have to. We bring clarity from the very beginning. We simplify complexity through hands‑on engineering experience, making early planning and design manageable, structured and informed.
We bring engineering thinking into early‑stage strategy, guiding clients through the challenges of initial design, planning frameworks and stakeholder alignment. As an independent consultant, we provide clarity and coordination (not design), helping clients with front-end engineering advice, SuDS and surface water drainage strategy, planning application coordination and planning application support.
We are not a large consultancy, and that is intentional. We are quick and responsive, no overheads, no layers of sign‑off. Just direct, early‑stage support when it’s needed.
Sustainability is embedded where it matters most: at the start. Because resilient, smart and cost‑effective infrastructure begins with informed decisions based on value engineering, not reactive design.
